Katie Hooft

I chose the veterinary field because I always wanted to work with animals at a young age. I attended NAIT and graduated in 2010. The area that I enjoy the most is surgery, it is amazing to see the difference and positivity a procedure like repairing a fractured leg or having a major health issue can change with surgery. I also enjoy nursing animals back to health after the procedures. I love the people I work with and all the unique creatures we see on a daily basis. A fun fact about me is that I lived in Bolivia and ate deep fried grasshoppers instead of french fries – true story!
