Microchipping is a safe way of identifying your pet to make sure if ever lost, they can be returned home. A microchip is the size of a grain of rice and is inserted by a needle under your pet’s skin, usually in the scruff. The microchip contains a number that shows up when scanned and is linked to all of your pet’s information. This includes your veterinarian’s information, your personal contact information as well as an emergency contact and your pet’s info. By microchipping your pet, they can always be identified even if their collar and tags are lost.
REMEMBER: Your Microchip Is Only as Good as the Information in the Database
